Social Mobilization for Transformation is a non-profit organization which aims at
working towards contributing to the Sustainable Development
Goals and the Malawi Growth Development Strategy II.
To promote the use of facilitated film screenings as
a tool for dialogue to contribute to sustainable positive development.
To be the leading organization that uses the power of documentary films to
engage the marginalized and disadvantaged audiences
around issues of social change in Malawi.
Social Mobilization for Transformation is a Malawian non-profit organization founded on 17th April in 2018 and has its head office in Salima District.
We are working towards contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals and the Malawi Growth Development Strategy II
To increase quality of SRH health services and link existing health service providers and support structures to key vulnerable and marginalized populations
Social Mobilization for Transformation SMOT is a Malawian non-profit organization, founded on 17th April in 2018. It aims at working towards contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals and the Malawi Growth Development Strategy II by advocating for the realization of human rights and raising awareness about human rights violations with particular focus Sexual and Reproductive health and rights (SRHR).The organization was legally registered on 10th July 2018 according to the government of Malawi under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962.It is also registered with Malawi NGO Board and Council for Non-Governmental Organization in Malawi.SMOT is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising of 6 high standing members in society with expertise on a variety of disciplines.
To promote access to economical services to vulnerable populations that support human rights and inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized populations in development processes.
To contribute towards gender equality and human rights and increase awareness to end sexual and gender based violence.
To increase quality of SRH health services and link existing health service providers and support structures to key vulnerable and marginalized populations
To raise awareness on environmental degradation and its effect to the environment and the community
Dowa- Traditional Authority Chiwere-GVHs Mwambula,Kathumba,Maweru,Mkoche, Mwachalo, Kansumbudzula.
Salima –Traditional Authority Salima-GVH Chisepo.
Plans are under way to extend to Dzaleka Refugee camp in Dowa.
SMOT is funded by STEPS for the mobile cinema projects.

To get access to work with registered youth clubs.
Access to information on environmental degradation and forestry and mining
Access to information weather updates
Victim support units to intervene on our facilitated film screenings on sexual and gender based violence issues.
To capture and publish the work we do.
They are responsible for these communities and they can provide better support for any work
Provide spiritual support especially for victims and survivors of violence
To share knowledge as they are working with those communities and they understand them better

SMOT Celebrated International Youth Day with the aim to equip the Dowa youth to be self-employed by engaging themselves into small businesses and other farming activities in- line with the theme of the year: Transforming Food Systems:, Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Healthy.
